Foundation
Toros University Institute of Social Sciences was established on 23 June 2009, the foundation date of the university, with the law number 5913/1 and its establishment was published in the Official Gazette numbered 27281 on 07 July 2009. With the letter of the Rectorate of our University dated 08.04.2020 and numbered 72061252-100 / 291, the Presidency's decision dated 27 March 2020 and numbered 2319 was closed and the Institute of Graduate Education was established in its place.

Admission & Registration Requirements
Those who have four-year university degree can apply to the program with ALES exam grade at least 80 in “equal wighting system”, graduation grade should be at least 3.00 of 4.00, and at least 55 from the Foreign Language Exam (YDS) (English) or form an equivalent-to-YDS exam. Those who have a graduate degree with thesis can apply the program with ALES exam grade at least 55 in “equal wighting system” and at least 55 from the YDS or equivalent. These grade levels can be changed by the Senate. In addition to ALES the candidate should also be successful in scientific assessment exam and/or interview.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Students who have already started doctorate degree studies in other domestic or international universities may also apply for admission according to Regulations of Council of Higher Education and Toros University. The courses taken from the previous university can also be accepted according to the conditions defined in the above Directive.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to graduate from the doctorate program the student should take and be successful from 7 courses, present a seminar, successfully complete the sufficiency exam, and write a doctorate dissertation and successfully defend in a jury. The student should take at least CB (75 over 100) to be successful from a course.

Profile of the Programme
The main objective of the program is to increase the capacity of the university to conduct research and produce academic publications, to accumulate and develop the knowledge base by closely monitoring the theoretical developments in the relevant fields, and to meet the academician requirements of the university from internal sources by providing an opportunity for those who want to become academician at universities. The main policy for the courses is to have a sound theoretical base. The program aims at making students gain a powerful theoretical background. In the context of this policy, the program is designed to provide the ddep knowledge in business functions and management field.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The graduates have the chance to be employed as managers in both public and private sectors. They also have chances to become a university academic in both public and foundation universities. Depending on their foreign language grade (at least 80 or above from YÖKDİL or equivalent exam) they would join the academics of both public and foundation universities educating in, for example, English.

Examination, Assessment and Grading Regulations
The courses in the Ph.D program have been designed as seminar-based and publication-based. However, in line with the general policy of the university, the professor of the course may apply at least one midterm exam, one final exam, and a term paper (as a publication, research report, seminar etc.). The weight of the final exam is not less than 50 and more than 60.

Graduation Requirements
To gradute from the program the CGPA should be at least 2.5 of 4 and no course with a grade less than CB. The student should get at least 7 courses and one seminar course. After the successful completion of the courses and seminar the student should pass the "sufficiency exam". After that, the student should prepare a doctorate dissertation and successfully defend it in a juri to graduate the program.
