Objectives of the Course To make the students aware of use of scientific knowledge and technology, strategic importance, people and organizations in health tehnology managemnt; importance of general science and technology management policies; theoretical knowledge on producing, acquiring and use of health technology with a significant share in health expenditures in the health sector and health organizations in a scientific and cost-benefit way; practice through presenting a comprehensive case study on hospital technology management; necessary approaches for applying to a particular case.
Contents of the Course This course includes concepts, definations,importance and development progress of science and technology management; health technologies groups; health euipments and drugs; health technology management and assessment in Turkey; technological needs/requirements in health care organizations; outsourcing for health technolgy necessities; development stages of health technologies and management stages; fizibility assessment and benefit evaluation.

3 To have knowledge about theoretical and practical information related to the field of health management and to be able to implement this knowledge
4 To gain knowledge and skills on understanding, analyzing and directing administrative, financial, technical and medical process of health organizations
5 To have knowledge and skills on managing information systems on health management and to be able to effectively us it.
6 To understand basic elements of health system in national and international level, to comprehend health planning and health policy, to analyze health sector economic and financially.
7 To have knowledge and skills to make quantitative and qualitative analyses in health management and to be able to implement this knowledge.
8 Critical and innovative thinking in problems faced during health management process, having the ability to use scientific methods and technics in decision making and problem solving.
