Objectives of the Course This course aims to provide students with an understanding of human and human behaviors, to understand the basic concepts and principles of communication process, to understand the importance of communication in nurse-patient relationship and to acquire communication attitudes and behaviors in special situations.
Contents of the Course Self-Recognition, Self-Recognition Practices,The Importance of Communication Definition and Its Basic Functions,Nurse-patient relationship and communication,Types of Communication, Factors Affecting Communication,Communication Blocking Methods,Understand and the patient's behavior,empathy , Behavioral Types, Atypical Behavior, Passive Behavior, Manipulative Behavior, Communication in special cases: Relations with the patients whose body image is distorted, Related to painful patients Relations with patients in loneliness and despair, Relations with patients approaching death. Anxiety, stress, crisis, relation to living patients Furious individual approach, communication with elderly and children
