Objectives of the Course 1. To comprehend history of Labour Law and Social Security Law in Turkey and the World 2. To ascertain fundamental concepts and general principles of Labour and Social Security Law 3. To find out fundamental labour law contracts, validity conditions, termination provisions, employee-employer rights/responsibilities under Turkish Labour Law 4. To comprehend types of social securities and rights/liabilities of related to social securities, 5. To find out “syndicate/collective bargaining” and “strike” within the scope of collective labour law, its historical development and position in local law, rights and liabilities
Contents of the Course 1. Fundamental concept of Labour Law (employee – trainee – apprentice – employer – employer representative – subcontractor – workplace – employment contract – business) types of employment contracts, rights/liabilities of parties, validity conditions, terminations types and consequences of terminations in terms of reimbursement, main employment contracts defined under Labour Law-validity conditions-termination types-rights/liabilities of parties 2. fundamentals of social security law (insured-premium-short term insurance-long term insurance-types of social security- rights/liabilities-benefiting conditions) 3. “syndicate/collective bargaining” and “strike” within the scope of collective labour law, rights/liabilities
