Objectives of the Course To analyse the development of architecture and art in the last years of the 19th century and in the 20th century.
Contents of the Course Focuses on the beginning of the modern arcitecture and art in the world in every countries from eclectism. The contents of the course are the late Renaissance, Utopians, romanticism, Ecclecticism, the consequences of industrial revolution, the use of iron, cast iron, glass, steel, the Chicago School in architecture, first use of ferro concrete in France, Arts and Crafts in Britain, British Domestic revival, Art Nouveau in all countries, Sezession in Austria, de stijl in Holland, futurism in Italy, Constructivism İn Russia, Purism in France, Expressionism in Germany. The environment, interiors, finish elements, furnitures, textile, crafts, hand-made elements, paintings, sculptures and ornaments are the contents relating with the architecture.
