Foundation

The Institute of Social Sciences of Toros University was founded in 2009 with the Law No: 5913/1 on 23rd of June, 2009; issued on 07th July 2009 No.(R): 27281. The foundation of "Business Administration (MBA) Program" has been approved by The Council of Higher Education of Turkey on 05th April 2012.The main objective of the program is develop prospective leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs both for private and public business organizations. There are two MBA programs; MBA- with thesis and MBA-nonthesis. Each program has its own course requirements.

Admission & Registration Requirements

Those who have four-year university degree can apply to the programs. ALES exam grade at least 55 in “equal weighting system” is required for the Thesis MBA program. No ALES requirement for the Non-thesis MBA program. Students who have already started master's degree studies in other domestic or international universities may also apply for admission according to Regulations of Council of Higher Education and Toros University. Recognition of Prior Learning
Students who have studied at other Universities may transfer to Toros University Programmes and the courses they have taken can be accepted under the conditions specified in the Directive of Toros University on Graduate Programs.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students to obtain undergraduate degree in Management required to complete the compulsory and elective courses (total 120 ECTS) to successfully complete; prepare a thesis and successfully defend it in a jury

Profile of the Programme
Master of Business Administration Program is designed to equip the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge of the contemporary management and business functions such as marketing, finance, human resources etc. The program aims to develop their skills as leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs for the private and the public business organizations.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduated students have a wide range of employment possibilities. Some examples of our graduate students’ employment are export and trade companies, accounting agencies, logistics companies, municipalities, governors’ offices, public and private schools.

Access to Further Studies
Those students successfully completed the MBA with Thesis program can apply to the Doctorate programs

Examination, Assessment and Grading Regulations
All conditions for exams, grading and assessment are provided in the syllabus of the course. At least one midterm and one final exam for each course. A term project can also be assigned. The exams are generally in written form. Grading is performed according to 4-point system. All details can be found in the Directory of Toros University Graduate Programs.

Graduation Requirements
The graduation requirements for the MBA Program are a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grade for each course (no grade below CC) and a successful completion of thesis for the MBA-Thesis program and a successful completion of Project for the MBA-Nonthesis program as indicated in the Directive of Graduate Programs of Toros University.

Departmental Facilities
The courses are given in the evening between 18:00-21:00 in order to enable the working students to attend the courses.
