Foundation
Toros University, Graphic Design Program of Vocational School was founded in 2012, and accepted its first students in 2012-2013 academic year and gave its first graduates in 2014. The program has begun its academic activities in Bahçelievler Campus, along with the increasing number of students since 2012-2017 academic year the education continues in Bahçelievler Campus.

Qualification Awarded
Students who have successfully completed all courses and had at least 120 ECTS, has the associate degree.

Admission & Registration Requirements
The students, who graduated from the relevant department of Vocational High Schools and who graduated from Public Schools and got the relevant mark of the student selection and Placement System and were placed by the Student Selection and Placement Center, are accepted for the Graphic Design Program.

Recognition of Prior Learning
The process of the recognition of prior learning in Turkish Higher Education Institutions is at starting point. So, the recognition of prior learning has not completely started yet in any programmes of Toros University. However; some exemption exams are applied for some lessons such as English at the beginning of both academic terms. The students who regard themselves as having the learning outcomes of these lessons can take the exams. And, the students who achieve these exams are exempted from these lessons.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The students are required to achieve all of both compulsory and elective courses ( equivalent to 120 ECTS in total ) and to get at least 2.0 Great Point Average ( GPA ) over 4.00 in total and to complete the training period of 30 work days in order to be able to get Associate’s Degree in the department of Computer Programming.

Profile of the Programme
The aim of the programme is to train qualified designers who have knowledge and skills to be able to work as a designer in every field related with Graphic Design, assimilated the etnic values of occupation and absorbed the national values. Graphic design programme carries out its inner or outer activities and works through the Management and the Rectorate as a higher institution. The Graphic Design Programme trains the students to be employed in the work areas of graphic design. Our department tries to teach the students perfectly with all the teaching staff of the school. Our department aims to realize the European Projects and provide the students with a positive atmosphere for learning or stuying through these projects. The courses of the deparment are presented efficiently enough for the students to become employed easily or make the students who pass to undergraduate programmes adapt easily.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The students who will graduate from Associate’s Degree of Graphic Design Programme will take the title of “Graphic Designer” or “Graphic Technician” owing to lessons that they take during their two-year education. The graduates can make their own attempts or work at printing houses, publishing places, graphic design studios, advertisement agencies, media sectors or at advertising units of both public and private sectors.

Access to Further Studies
Transfer to Bachelor Degree is determined by the Law in Offical Newspaper dated 02,19,2002 and numbered 24676. According to the regulation on the continuation of graduates of vocational schools to Bachelor Degree and principles that the council of Higher Education determined, vertical transfer exam and placement of graduates of vocational school students to bachelor degree is executed by ÖSYM. Students who graduated from the Graphic Design Program can make the vertical transfer to bachelor degree to enhance their training to upper level. Examination, Assessment and Grading Regulations
As stated examination regulations Toros University Education Exams; Is regulated as described below. These exams may be written, oral, Project or written, oral and / or practical. Exam dates are announced at least one week before the examinations at the deanery-college directorate and relevant departments. The number and the dates of the midterm examinations will be announced to the students in the first month of the semester by the department concerned or the head of the department of education / education. Students are granted one of following letter grades and/or symbols by instructor of the course for each academic year they are enrolled. Expressing course grades Scores, grades and coefficients are as follows; Points Letter Noto Coefficients 90-100 AA 4,00 80-89 BA 3,50 70-79 BB 3,00 65-69 CB 2,50 60-64 CC 2,00 55-59 DC 1,50 50-54 DD 1,00 40-49 FD 0,50 0-39 FF 0,00 A student who receives one of the grades AA, BA, BB, CB, CC grades is considered to have fulfilled that grade successfully. A student who receives one of the grades FD and FF is dersten unsuccessful. (2) The meanings of the other letter grades are as follows; a) EX (exemption-exempt) grade is given to students who transfer to another university from other higher education institutions or to students who have already taken a course from a higher education institution before the start of a postgraduate program at universities, and equivalence is accepted by the relevant departmental committee. b) An I (incomplete-incomplete) grade is appreciated by the faculty member who is unable to complete the course requirements if he / she is successful during the semester due to illness or other valid reason. If the student receives any grade (I) grade, the grades must be completed within fifteen days from the date of the student's announcement at the student's discretion. Otherwise, note (I) turns into a note (FF) by itself. However, in the case of a prolonged illness and the like, the application of the student's petition and documentary, the recommendation of the lecturer and the approval of the departmental board (I) may be extended until the beginning of the next registration period. c) NA (no attendance) grade is appreciated by faculty members who fail to fulfill attendance requirements or fail to meet the requirements for course implementation. (NA) grade is graded in grade grade average (FF) grade. d) P (progress-success) grade is given to students who are attending lessons that do not attend grade averages and whose duration is more than one semester. e) A grade of satisfactory (S) is given to students who are successful in courses that do not attend grades. f) The unsatisfactory note (U) is given to students who can not succeed in courses that do not attend grades. g) A student who is withdrawn from the W (withdrawal-dersten withdrawal) note without expiry of the withdrawal period specified in a derby academic calendar in which the student is registered. Dersten requires approval of the withdrawal counselor. Students can not withdraw from courses they have taken in the first two semesters they have enrolled in their program or from courses they have taken as (FF), (FD) and (NA) From the last four weeks of the academic year, dersten withdrawals can not be made. h) NI (not included) grades are awarded to students who take courses that do not attend grade averages.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the program students must have at least 2,00 GPA out of 4,00 and 120 ECTS.
