Admission & Registration Requirements |

For the calculation of the grade of success for students applied to the master degree’s programs, 50% of ALES score, 40% of bachelors graduation grade and 10% of foreign language is added. Foreign language score is assumed to be zero for the canditades who don’t have a YDS / UDS score or a foreign language certification accepted by university council.The required minimum success level grade is 60. The candidates who have a score higher than this minimum score are placed in relevant programs by ordering from the highest points according to the quota declared. In case of equality of points, the candidates who have higher ALES score is preferred. |

Profile of the Programme |

Civil engineering is a broad engineering discipline with a curriculum providing a strong foundation in mathematic sand physics followed by in-depth education in mechanics, structures, transportation, geotechnical engineering, hydraulics. The main objective of the programme is to provide the required knowledge for the rapidly developing science and technology, and to graduate expert engineers having the ability to make search and development. |

Examination, Assessment and Grading Regulations |

Students are required to take a mid-term examination and/o rcomplete other assigned projects/home work during the semester and, additionally, are required to take a final examination and/or complete a final Project for course evaluation. The final grade is based on themid-term examination grade, the final examinationgradeand/orevaluation of final project, withthecontributions of 40% and 60%, respectively. To pass any course, a Master'sstudent must receive at least 65 out of 100. Students must repeat courses they have failed or may substitute courses the Department accepts as equivalent. The assessment for each course is described in detail in “Individual Course Description”. |
