Objectives of the Course In this course, the importance of insulation for human health and comfort, insulation systems and materials used in insulation will be given in detail.
Contents of the Course 764/5000 Structuring problems. Heat effect. Thermal insulation materials. Fibrous materials. Foam materials. Regulation of energy performance in buildings. Scope and application areas of TS 825. Heat flow and cross-section determination in building outer shell. Heat loss calculation. Thermal bridges. Heat retention properties of structural elements (thermal inertia). Heat storage-cooling. Thermal expansion. Thermal insulation systems applied in the building's outer shell. External insulation. Internal insulation. Double wall insulation. Insulation both internally and externally. Moisture effect. Condensation. Sweating. Hydrocopic humidification. Water effect. Corrosion. Captivity.
