Objectives of the Course In this course, students; individuals and individuals influencing internal and external factors, the usual patterns and normal deviation of behavior, protection of mental health, maintenance and development, mental disorders healing and rehabilitation during mental health and to have information on the role of psychiatric nursing and basic principles and in line with this concept in professional practice healthy and aims to ensure the presence in the approach to the individual patient.
Contents of the Course Introduction to mental health and psychiatric nursing, human and behavior of the bio-psycho-social aspects, the concept of mental health and the factors that affect mental health, culture and psychiatry, Psychodynamic basis of behavior, the defense mechanisms of the self, the general symptoms of psychiatric disorders, the classification of mental disorders, personality development, eight stages of human development and mental health problems, mental illness and nursing care, stress and stress management, treatment in psychiatry methods and nurse's responsibilities, environment treatment, other treatments, psychosocial issues and consultation liaison nursing seen in people with physical illness in the world and in our country community mental health services, psychiatry, mental health and psychiatric nursing therapeutic principles and techniques of communication,legal aspects of psychiatry, patients' rights and ethical issues of crisis and crisis intervention, emergency psychiatry.

1 The definition of mental health and illness of nursing, objectives, philosophy, team in functions (roles) standard and describe the historical development process.
2 Health and mental health can use the principles and techniques of therapeutic communication with corrupt individuals and groups
3 It can apply a systematic approach to nursing and mental health disorders.
4 The importance of mental health in the world and in our country, protecting, maintaining, sort of development and responsibility of nurses in this area.
5 Evaluate the groups at risk in terms of mental health in the community.
6 You can define specific nursing interventions for individuals with mental disorders and those attempts (ECT group and individual therapy, etc.) Can be used for nursing skills.
7 It can classify individuals with mental disorders.
