Foundation
Toros University was taken under the scope of YÖK / World Bank Industrial Education Project in 2009 and was established under the heading of Technical Programs Department of Vocational School of Higher Education. He is still continuing to buy students at the Vocational School, Construction Technology Department. The Construction Technology program is a two-year program consisting of 14 weeks and 4 semesters. In this two-year program, theoretical lectures, laboratory practices and industry-based teaching are offered in the program. The program provides students with information about teaching the basic concepts of building and all types of building construction. The program aims to meet the needs of the construction industry today and in the future. For this reason, it is desirable that construction technicians, a member of the construction sector, have more knowledge and insight than skilled workers. The main task of a construction technician is; To assist civil engineers in laboratory and site manufacturing. In this direction, it is aimed to educate students who have the ability to use and control wide knowledge and high technology devices in the basic principles of all kinds of building production in the program.

Admission & Registration Requirements
Candidates graduated from related fields of vocational high school can register with the transition without exam. Those who graduated from high schools other than the vocational high schools can register the program by taking the sufficient score from the exam made by the student selection and placement center

Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of prior education in Turkish higher education institutions is still in its infancy. For this reason, recognition of prior education in all the programs of Toros University has not been fully started. However, in the compulsory curriculum of departments, Exemption exam is held at the beginning of each semester for courses. Students who complete these learning courses on their own or who think that they have provided learning outcomes in these courses in different ways have the right to enter these exams. Those who are successful in the examination are exempted from the relevant courses in the curriculum. Students arriving at the Horizontal Transfer: For the students who want to transfer to the University of Toros from the higher education institutions in Turkey and foreign countries, the Regulations Regarding the Transition between the Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Minor Institutional Credit Transfer Principles and the evaluation criteria related to horizontal transitions determined by the University Senate are applied. Horizontal Transition Quotas are announced by the Higher Education Council. The evaluation is; Faculties and higher education institutions, and it is declared as a result of the related boards. Students coming in a Vertical Transition: Vertical transition of graduates of Vocational Schools to continuing undergraduate programs in fields they finish; Vocational Schools and Associate Degree Programs for Open Teaching The provisions of the Regulations on the Continuation of Undergraduate Study are applied. The quotas reserved by the university are notified to OSYM Presidency. These quotas and conditions declared are announced in the Vertical Transition Guide prepared by OSYM. Placement procedures are carried out centrally by OSYM according to the results of the Vertical Transfer Examination.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to obtain the degree of associate degree in the field of construction technology (in order to earn the title of Construction Technician) A) To pass at least DD grade on condition that all the courses in the curriculum are 2.00 and above, B) have achieved a weighted average of at least 2.0 over 4.0, C) To complete the 40-day mandatory internship period and to receive a passing grade from the reports prepared for this internship. The student must complete 120 ECTS credits during 2 years of education.

Profile of the Programme
The Construction Technology Program is a program that provides pre-education on construction and operation of all kinds of works that people use in their everyday life. Civil Engineering is a technical discipline based on basic mathematics and physics education followed by general knowledge in major engineering sciences such as construction, mechanics, hydraulics, building materials, transportation, geotechnics and building management. The main objective of the program is; Following the science and technology, developing technologically, it is necessary to train the technical staff equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to transfer these knowledge to practice. For this purpose, our program provides practical information to be used in the field of application as well as theoretical information and licensed training of many computer programs (such as AUTOCAD) related to the department. The graduates of the construction technology program are the construction industry; (Professional staff) with sufficient knowledge and business skills in the fields of private engineering, architecture bureaus, construction companies, construction supervisors and the public sector. In the program, theoretical lectures based on industry and basic vocational knowledge are given in the classrooms of the vocational high school and the application courses are carried out in the laboratories of the program. Students complete an internship and practice course during the 6th week (30 workdays-compulsory) during the second semester. In the Construction Technology Program, Turkish education is given as a formal education. A total of 60 students, 30 in the first class and 30 in the second class, are in education and training. There are 6 Teaching Assistants in the program. There are 1 laboratory used by the students of Civil Engineering and Construction Technology Program at Torsos University. Materials, Concrete, Ground, Mechanic, Hydraulic, Asphalt experiments can be done in this laboratory. The Higher Education Council (YÖK) has provided equipment and equipment that can be applied in the student laboratories provided within the scope of the World Bank Project. Internship and technical trip opportunities are provided by the private sector and public institutions.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Construction machinery; Firms actively involved in construction of dams, roads, airfields, residential buildings, etc. and establishing professions working as technical staff in natural resources, transportation / roads, building departments and material test laboratories of public or local governments. They play an important role as technical staff in the planning, project, construction and control phases of all structures from highways, bridges, dams, airports, water delivery / distribution systems and residential to commercial centers

Access to Further Studies
Graduates and those who have fulfilled graduation requirements outside of the internship in the last semester can be placed in undergraduate programs (Civil Engineering, Architecture) with their Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS). In addition, there is the possibility of a vertical transition to the Economics and Business Administration departments of Open Education Faculties.

Examination, Assessment and Grading Regulations
Students are required to take midterm, midterm (project, seminar, quiz, homework or second midterm) and final exam for each course. If there is a grade of success, midterm exam, 40% of midterm work and 60% of final exam. All exams are evaluated with an absolute score of 100 points. There is a requirement to take at least 50 points from the final exam. The final grades are translated into a letter grade in the relative grading system. Students who take one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) are deemed to have completed that course. At the end of each semester, the students may take the makeup exam from the courses of the semester they are unsuccessful in. Regarding examinations, Toros University Education-Teaching Regulation is applied

Graduation Requirements
The student must complete 120 ECTS credits during 2 years of education. To graduate from the program, students complete all their courses and complete 30 days of industry-based learning internship, The overall average grade point average should be 2.00 out of 4.00 and there should be no failed courses

Departmental Facilities
In the Construction Department, apart from the classes in which students are trained, using technology classes; Basic computer applications, CAD applications and all kinds of presentations. In computer laboratories, important computer software for construction technology (such as AUTOCAD) is made available to students. In the laboratories established for the Construction Technology Program, there are experimental environments for basic subjects such as floor, building material and concrete technology.
