Toros University Vocational School was established dated the 2009. Occupational Health and Safety programme started education in 2014-2015 academic year. Its educational language is Turkish.

Admission & Registration Requirements
The students graduating from the branches of the vocational high schools which are first aid and emergency care technician, the sick and elderly care, constructiveness and automotive technology are able to apply for open admission to occupational health and safety programme of associate degree. The students graduating from the branches except the mentioned fields or high schools can be placed at the programmes they want according to the OSS grades with the additional placement if there is vacancy. For this, the students must take the exam which is the higher education entrance exam (YGS) and held by OSYM and they must take adequate grade from YGS-2.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Transfer Students: The transfer student candidates from Turkish or foreign universities are subject to the YOK Legislation "The transfer, double degree, minor degree and inter-institutional credit transfer" and to the evaluation conditions determined by Toros University Senate. The transfer quotas are determined and announced by Turkish Higher Education Council (YOK). The evaluation of the candidates are done by the school evaluation commmisin and approved by the management The Graduate Transfers: The short cycle graduates are given the right to be admitted to the first cycle programs if they comply with the conditions set by the "The transfer of Short Cycle Program Graduates to First Cycle Programs" Legilation of Turkish Higher Education Council (YOK) The universities inform YOK regarding the quotas and YOK announces the quotas and conditions in "Graduate Transfer Guide" and the placements are managed by YOK due to the results of nationwide graduate transfer exam. According to the Regulations of Toros University for Graduate Schools, students are not connected to the right for internal transfer, previously taken courses at another graduate programme by another university with a successful grade may be recognized by the related programmes after the letter of the students includes course contents and the transcript, and by the recommendation of the head of the departments and by the decision of the Board of Directors. The courses taken by the outgoing Exchange students have the recognition at the school either as compulsory or elective.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
To have a two-year degree in the field of Occupational Healt and Safety, the students must pass all the the compulsory and elective subjects which are neccesssary to be taken and have at least 2.0 grade point avarage from 4.0.

Profile of the Programme
The aim of the program is to educate professionals who have an ability to protect the employees from occupational accidents and diseases by eliminating hazards and minimizing risks in workplace, to provide the use of time and personal performance with maximum efficiency by providing safe manufacturing, to supervise the safety of every kind of tool, machine and other risky components in facility security, to provide the maintain of security not only for the worker and workplace but also for workplace environment. Additionally, destroying of hazards in origin, increase the work efficiency by providing to give the worker s attention to their work and contribute to the national economy by increasing the profitableness of business thanks to the decreasing of legal, conscientious and financial responsibilities to minimum are also in the aims of Occupational Health and Safety Program.

The employment fields of the graduate from this programme is wide. The graduate from this programme can employ in all the fields with the title of Occupational Health and Safety Technician .

Access to Further Studies
The candidates who finish the two-year degree education successfully can study in undergraduate program if they take an acceptable grade from the external transfer exam

Examination, Assessment and Grading Regulations
Measurement and evaluation methods for each course are defined in the course syllabi prepared by the instructor/s. Exam and passings grades are regulated according to the rules and regulations of Toros University Vocational High School undergraduate programs as indicated in their catalogs. According to these students must attend classes, practices and examinations. Students' attendance is followed by the Instructor concerned. For almost all required and elective courses there are two written examinations : One midterm examination ( given during each semester and dates of which are announced by the Department in the first month of the semester ) and one final exam. The semester grades are determined by adding forty percent of the midterm exam and sixty percent of the final exam grade. In some courses, additional work such as projects, presentations and assignments could be given to students. If there is an additional work given in that course, then the semester grades are: 30% of the midterm exam, 10% the midterm project and 60% of the final exam. Students are successful in the course if their grades are (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (DC), (DD) and (B); if their grades are (FD), (FF) and (Y), they fail. Students whose GPA are lower than 1.80 cannot register for a new course. Those who have failed in the final exam may take the make-up exam of which grade replaces the final exam and students grades are computated again based upon the make-up exam results.

Graduation Requirements
To finish the programme succesfully, passing all the lessons available( equivalent to 120 ECTS), having at least 2.0 average grade from 4.0, finishing a compulsory training education lasting 30 days are neccessary.
