Foundation
The Department was established in 2009. The Department is located at the Toros University 45 Evler Campus. 5 Assistant Professors, 1 Instructors and 2 Research Assistants are currently (2016) working in the Department. When needed, part-time instructors are also employed. The decisions related with the Department are made by the Department Committee which is composed of all faculty members of the Department. The Department is governed by the Chairman and a deputy chairman. Department of Computer Engineering leading to an undergraduate degree started in the 2009-2010 academic year. All the courses are offered in English. Since all students must successfully complete English Language Requirements of English Preparatory School, the students do not have a difficulty in following such courses.

Qualification Awarded
The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain the bachelor’s degree of Computer and Software Engineering.

Admission & Registration Requirements
Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) is responsible to place students according to their ÖSYS scores.

Recognition of Prior Learning
The students who study at Toros University may be exempt from some courses according to certain regulations. They may be exempt from the courses if the application is in time and the content is approved by the administrative board of the related vocational school/faculty/institute.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Students having successfully completed all the courses (for a total of 240 ECTS) at least 2.0 out of a 4.00 weighted GPA are awarded by Bachelor's Degree

Profile of the Programme
This programme intends to include all kinds of practical and theoretical aspects of the field of study and it aims to provide its graduates with technical and managerial skills in all aspects of Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences, required to pursue a career in the analysis, design, development, implementation, installation, operation, and maintenance of computer software and hardware sub systems of information systems, and to empower them with sufficient mathematical background necessary to follow advanced studies.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Both graduates of the department of public bodies and organizations and the private sector can work as an engineer. Successful students graduate and doctoral studies in the academic life for those who prefer their own department as well as different universities are able to continue their education. Establishing his own engineering firm, even if fewer of them you also have the entrepreneurial spirit of our graduates are making their own business.

Access to Further Studies
The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to graduate studies in same field or related areas if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the regulations of “Toros University Graduate Education and Examination Committee”, which includes ALES, general point of average, and the interview.

Examination, Assessment and Grading Regulations
In this program, assessment and grading are conducted according to Toros University Education and Assessment regulations for Associate and Undergraduate degrees.

Graduation Requirements
To be able to finish undergraduate degree, students must complete all courses, applications and workshops that are included in the program, gain two hundred and forty (240) AKTS credit requirements in total in undergraduate level and obtain a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00.

Departmental Facilities
5 Assistant Professor, 1 Instructor and there are 2 research assistants. 100% of the courses in English language education since 2009 is applied. Part of the department in support of the teaching practice; 1 - Electrical and Electronic Circuits Laboratory 2 - Digital Systems Laboratory 3 - Computer Laboratory. In addition, one of them fixed in one of the slide, the other portable projection device with 2 units during the course or courses required for the simulation software, the use of technology is shown to students.
