Objectives of the Course To provide the students with knowledge and skills in the general level of international transportation. To gain in-depth knowledge and skills about transportation of goods by airline, railway, road and sea.
Contents of the Course Administrative decisions in transportation management, selection of transportation mode, road transport, railway transport, air transport, maritime transport and pipeline transport, management decisions in transportation management, transport mode selection, freight consolidation, carrier routing, carrier evaluation Information and Communication Networks, Information Transport and Logistics, Integration in Transportation, Needs and Advantages, Barriers to Integration, Transport Regulations, Transportation, Transportation, Transportation Costs, Freight Costs, Freight Calculations, EU policies and Turkey.
